Summer House. Design and Build, Suffolk

Brief : “Id really like a pizza oven”

Outside entertaining spaces are a personal favourite of mine, this project was set in the beautiful grounds of a suffolk barn.
We had to create a space that not only worked during the day, but also in the evening and potentially in the colder weather as well. With this in mind lighting and heating was addressed sympathetically giving just the right atmosphere for entertaining. Glass flanked the walls behind the new pizza oven exposing the view of the large pond whilst cooking and a steel and timber pergola was erected to give some shade but also withstand the weight of the vines to be draped over. The summer house itself was fitted with a small kitchen prep area, new lighting and bifold doors which help extend the entertaining space with ease.

Tony Ryder and his team delivered an exemplary service, transforming a neglected building into a fantastic summerhouse (which we use all the time). That transformation included high quality workmanship combined with thoughtful design.
